Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 1382 of Livonia Michigan!

Troop 1382 is an active and well established Boy Troop of around 15 scouts ranging from Scout to Eagle. Established more than 70 years ago, the troop has a long history of exciting activities and boasts more than 50 eagle scouts since it's inception.

With a very active parent committee and leadership, most scouts consistently participate in troop events. We try to camp once a month during the warmer months and almost all scouts attend summer camp. Many of our scouts participate in high adventure activities such as 50 mile canoe trips as well as a 50 mile hike through the pictured rocks national lakeshore. We're looking forward to more exciting campouts, fun, and adventure ahead!

We hope you find what you're looking for on our site, and please feel free to contact us if we can offer any information on our troop and activities.

Why Join Scouting?

Boy Scouts prove themselves in an environment that challenges their courage and tests their nerve. After they've been given the proper guidance from those with experience and know-how, they take their own lead, going places they've never gone, seeing things they've never seen, and diving into the rugged world of outdoor adventure, relying on teamwork and character to accomplish what everyone else thinks is impossible.

Sound fun? If you're a boy age 11, or at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, to 17 years old, the time for a real adventure is now.

If you are not local to the Livonia area, go to BeaScout site or the Michigan Crossroads council website, https://michiganscouting.org/.

Why Join Troop 1382?

We have an exciting and fun program based on learning core Scouting skills that last a lifetime. We try to camp once a month during the warmer months and almost all scouts attend summer camp.

Scouting is scout-lead, and Troop 1382 values this principle in everything we do. We have a dedicated group of adult volunteers who ensure the activities are fun and safe while the youth leadership runs the program they have developed.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
